Description |
Demonstrates the use of the spectrophotometer, an electronic laboratory instrument for measuring the concentration and absorbency of chemical compounds. Shows such procedures as dissolving chemicals in solution, adjusting the machine to a fine tolerance allowing for electronic variations, selecting the proper wavelength of light to measure concentration, and using the standard curve to show concentration vs. absorbency. Diagrams the electronics of the machine and includes other miscellaneous procedures, such as cleansing sample tubes.
