Description Ed entered the Army June 12, 1943 and did basic training for three months at Fort Riley Kansas. From October 1943 to April 1944, he did the Army Special Training Program (A.S.T.P.) at the University of Nebraska. Ed's footage shows recruits marching to and from class in groups, doing training exercises with machine guns and mortors, and driving tanks. He also captures the Don E. Love Memorial Library (U of Nebraska) and Nebraska State Capitol building.
