Our national economy

About this item

Description Huston Smith visits Professor John Kenneth Galbraith of Harvard and Professor Paul Samuelson of MIT to discuss the American economy: how it compares with that of other nations, problems it faces, and what should be done about these. Special attention is given to the question of why a nation so rich in things (cars, homes, and TV sets) is relatively so poor in services (teachers, police, social workers, mental hospitals).
