Description Discusses five devices for putting power into sentences. Includes (1) arranging words in order of importance, (2) keeping the main idea in the main clause, (3) keeping the minor clause at the beginning, and the major clause at the end, (4) keeping the reader in suspense until the end, and (5) arranging words in an unnatural order. Examples of simple, powerful sentences are read.
