Description This is a tale of two famous Japanese clans who were bitter enemies. During the battle of Yashima in 1845, one clan was challenged to pierce a fan with a bow and arrow from a great distance. Artist T. Mikamo illustrates this story with a brush paingin of a fan, a bow and an arrow.
