About this item

Description Presents information on the connection between sexual reproduction and heredity. Dr. Roney reviews briefly the elements necessary to sexual reproduction and states some of the genetic advantages to this kind of recreation of life. The major result of sexual reproduction is that the living things produced in this way are capable of enormous variations, which in turn insures the survival of the species. Dr. Roney maker use of charts and diagrams to show that there are more than 16 million variations possible in each human being--which is why every human being is to some degree different from every other human being. The final topic of the program is the contrast between different kinds of cells and how they reproduce themselves.
