Description The body's defense system is fascinatingly complex in its ablility to fend off invasion of harmful substances known as antigens, which include viruses. Through the use of time lapse photography, this film goes to cellular and subcellular levels to detail what components perform which functions. Later, animation reviews the process using a battle analogy. The immune response has important implications for the future study of aging, heredity, growth, transplantation of organs, cancer and various infectious diseases.
