The Research: Frameworks & Methodologies

Stargazing uses multiple Black Studies, speculative, contemplative, spiritual, and artistic frameworks. It uses creative inquiry methods such as research poetry, Black Quantum Futurism, and narratives that center and focus the lives and voices of Black people. 

The project keeps in mind the multitude of Black performance practices over centuries, as well as the written works of authors such as Toni Morrison, Gayl Jones, and Alice Walker, Octavia Butler, Rasheedah Phillips, and Kevin Quashie.
