"The arches happened because absurdly I kept thinking about the Ponte Vecchio in Florence and then rushed about looking at photos of Verona where I've never been. I found that indeed it had a beautiful miniature sort of forum and a lovely arch on the door of San Zeno and it had to be gold because it's really what I love best on books and because it seemed suitable somehow." - Gemma O'Connor
