Description

"Snowball"quilt This pieced quilt is comprised of four-pointed stars joined in rows at their points. The arms of each star are made from small print dress calicoes, mostly in shades of red and brown. Each octagon that is formed between the stars is neatly quilted as a single daisy or sunflower, except for the half-octagons at the borders, which are quilted in slanting rows. The top is all-cotton, the back is muslin, and the thin padding is clean cotton; the border tape is white cotton, machine sewn.
