Biographical Text
Samuel Wylie Dodds was born to Mary Ann Wylie and James Findley Dodds on 22 May 1841. He was best friends with Theophilus and Rebecca Wylie's son Dick, who was born in the same year. Samuel and Dick both graduated from Indiana University in 1861 and joined the Union Army. Both died after contracting a fever. Samuel died on 7 November 1861.
