An online exhibition of Political Cartoons in the Lilly Library

Explore selections from the Lilly Library's collection of political cartoons. The items in this collection depict times of turbulence and persons of prominence in American history. They range in date from the Colonial Period, the War of 1812, the presidential elections of 1860 and 1864, and the Civil War.
