Help with Searching
You can search this web site in one of two ways:
Keyword Search
The global keyword search bar appears across every page on this site. By default, all keyword searches with more than 1 term, will perform an OR search. The most effective way to use this search option is either a:
- single term search (i.e., Wagner)
- exact phrase seacrh (i.e., "Metropolitan Opera")
Advanced Search
To conduct searches with more than one keyword, use the Advanced Search option, which is linked from the main navigation.
AND BOOLEAN
To conduct searches with more than one keyword located in the same record, construct an AND search in the Advanced Search page. For example to search for all performance with Wagner as the creator/composer and Levine as the conductor, you will construct the query as follows:
- Creator (Composer) contains Wagner
- AND Organizer (Conductor) contains Levine
OR BOOLEAN
To conduct searches with more than one keyword located across several records, construct an OR search in the Advanced Search page.
