l9,000 viewed Barbiere on Nationals Park 4,800 sq. ft. scoreboard screen. Before the start of the opera the Bugs Bunny animated film "The rabbit of Seville" was shown. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 Washington National Opera produced three simulcasts viewed at the National Mall ; Porgy and Bess (11/06/05), Madama Butterfly (11/12/06) and La Boheme (09/23/07). The Opera in the ballpark productions started in 2008 with La traviata ((09/13/08).
