Oiginal musical for television aired live in 1957 and viewed by an audience estimated at 107 million. A tape of a full dress rehearsal recorded two weeks prior to the live broadcast is in the Museum of Television & Radio collection. A digitally restored black and white version of a kinescope recording was aired on Great Performances on December 14, 2004 and has been released as a DVD by Image Entertainment. Cinderella was the only work composed for television by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
