Bernard J. Rosenmeyer

Bernard Jacob Rosenmeyer (1869 or 1870-1943?) was a Swedish-American painter who worked in a variety of media. Rosenmeyer specialized in depicting figures in both everyday and historical settings.

Rosenmeyer illustrated a variety of books for both young and adult readers. His atmospheric tonal drawings were well suited to stories of romance and adventure. Rosenmeyer supplied the illustrations for Evaleen Stein's popular Christmas story "Félix," which first appeared in the children's magazine St. Nicholas before being included in Troubadour Tales in 1903.
