Description Colombia's social, cultural, and economic life is explored for an American audience. Special attention is paid to democratic connections and economic expansion which are presented favorably. A brief history and topography overview is given, followed by a viewing of religious festivities and the Archbishop of Bogota. The city of Bogota is shown, emphasizing its modern and educated population. Sugarcane, corn, and coffee production is highlighted, with a description of the typical farmer. The Barco oil concession and Petrolia is also presented. Finally, the film explains the German propaganda attempts in the country, and the U.S. and Colombian response.
