1954 KKGamma Dads Day - 1954 Xmas at 514 N. College

About this item

Description While this film does pertain to Indiana University Bloomington, it also manages to showcase several other aspects of the Hollands' lives and relationships together. For instance, we learn that Nancy was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at IU, one of the oldest and most prestigious sororities on campus. We also see a glimpse of the family reunited around the house for Christmas, and their first of many visits to the Wells' house on Lake Lemon (still called Bean Blossom Lake, back then). The family and their good friends, the Wells, enjoy various water sports and activities around the lake house. We see water-skiers, sailboats, and more summer fun. Finally, to finish out the film, the scene switches to the old Indiana Memorial Stadium for Nancy's graduation commencement. She looks happy, posing in a black cap and gown. After the ceremony the family attends a party in someone's backyard, where Nancy and all her sorority sisters celebrate together.
