The 21st Century

Hosted by Walter Cronkite the series first aired in 1957 and was originally called The 20th Century. Under this name the series focused on major news events and famous moments during the 20th century. In 1967 the name was changed to The 21 Century. Under its new title, the series focused on major breakthroughs in technologies or science and events that might have a lasting impact on the future.
