One of a Kind was a joint venture between Harry Reasoner and Andy Rooney. Rooney wrote and produced One of a Kind while Reasoner hosted the show. One of a Kind was a documentary series that was unusual from traditional shows produced by CBS. The subjects focused on unusual or mundane topics such as doors or chairs. The offbeat nature of the show along with Reasoner’s dry humor led to favorable views from TV critics.
