Money Talks

In response to current economic issues in 1962, CBS News created a five-part series that covers basic economic principles and terminology. The goal of this series was to enable Americans to better understand the economic debates being covered in the news and politics, especially the showdown between the steel industry and the Kennedy administration. The show was hosted by Carnegie Mellon economics professor Dr. John R. Coleman and news correspondent David Schoenbrun. A New York Times review of the first episode praised it for the understandable language used and interesting presentation of economics.
