Improving the Job

About this item

Description Illustrates that workers themselves are often best qualified to suggest improvements to increase efficiency in the workplace. Bill, a line worker, has been asked by his supervisor for suggestions. By discussing the question with his family over the dinner table, Bill examines every detail of his job to identify waste and inefficiency. Concludes with the supervisor crediting Bill with suggesting many waste-eliminating improvements at the factory.
